Reach the buyers who're about to buy a shaver.

Grooming Nova is the independent home of US grooming-device intent - researching shavers and trimmers, comparing models, buying, and maintaining them. We work with a small number of brand partners each quarter, with editorial control we don't negotiate.

Who reads Grooming Nova

Readers in a decision window.

Our readers arrive from Google with a specific grooming-device question and a same-session decision to make. We cover four moments in the buying journey - researching a device, comparing options, making the purchase, and maintaining it - and we cover only those four.

  • 01 · Research

    Sizing up a device

Reading the specs, the blade system, and the runtime claims before they commit to a shaver, trimmer, or clipper.

    Sample query

    best beard trimmer

  • 02 · Compare

    Weighing the options

Foil vs. rotary, corded vs. cordless, which brand holds up better, and whether the step-up model is worth it.

    Sample query

    philips norelco vs braun

  • 03 · Buy

    Making the purchase

Which kit to get, what guards and attachments ship in the box, and where the model actually earns its price.

    Sample query

best hair clippers for home use

  • 04 · Maintain

    When a device acts up

Replacing blades and foils, oiling and cleaning, and fixing a clipper or trimmer that's stopped cutting clean.

    Sample query

how to fix a clipper that won't cut

Coverage stops at the grooming device itself. We write about electric shavers, beard trimmers, hair clippers, and body groomers - how they work, the technique and styles around them, and upkeep and accessories - not skincare regimens, fashion, fragrance, or general consumer news. Pitches in those categories are declined at the first email.

Why partners choose us

The trust stack you're buying into.

A partnership is only as valuable as the publication's credibility on the day it ships. Three pillars protect that credibility - each backed by a public policy a buyer can audit before signing.

Independent

No retailer or manufacturer ownership.

Owned by its editors. No holding company, no retailer parent, no manufacturer stake.

Every review we publish is reported on merit, and we put that work on the byline - alongside the senior editor who signed off. Partnerships do not change what we report.

Editorial policy

Tested

Every rating traces to a device we tested.

Every device bought at retail · Every result dated · Tested on real hair, never on brand-supplied units.

Runtimes, closeness scores, and build notes come from a device we bought at retail and tested on real hair, and we date-stamp every result when we test it. We never publish a claim we haven't confirmed - and we say so in writing.

How We Test

Transparent

Disclosure on every paid placement.

“Paid Partnership” label above the H1 · public corrections log · named bylines on every article.

Sponsored work is labelled before the reader scrolls. The sponsorship policy spells out exactly what a sponsor can and cannot influence, and every substantive correction lands in a public log.

Editorial guardrails

Where we draw the line.

We turn down roughly one inquiry in four. The two columns below are the reason - they protect the readership you're paying to reach.

We will

  • Publish honest writing that helps grooming-device buyers reach a decision.
  • Fact-check your claims against your own published documentation.
  • Label every paid placement clearly, above the H1.
  • Deliver promised impressions and reporting on schedule.
  • Renew partnerships where the work was good.

We won't

  • Change how a device ranks in a comparison in exchange for payment.
  • Remove a competitor's mention from a best-of guide.
  • Accept a sponsored article that contradicts our tested record of a device.
  • Hide the “Sponsored” or “Paid Partnership” label.
  • Include affiliate links in a sponsored article.

Common requests we decline

  • Backlink-only requests on the homepage or category pages.
  • Sponsored content that presents medical, legal, or financial advice as editorial.
  • Cryptocurrency, online gambling, or adult-content sponsors.
  • Changing how a device ranks in a best-/worst-shaver comparison for payment.
  • Altering or removing a tested result to favor a sponsor.

The process

Grooming Nova

We launched in 2024 to build a US grooming-device publication that doesn't owe anything to a retailer, a manufacturer, or a holding company. Partnering with us right now is a chance to help shape what an independent publication's ad program looks like - and to lock in early-partner terms before traffic catches up to the editorial program.

If you're curious whether your product is a fit, send a brief and you'll hear back from me directly within two business days.

Submit a brief

Tell us what you're trying to do.

The basics are enough - we'll come back with a proposal, a price, and a publication date. If we're not a fit, we'll say so plainly.

Frequently asked

The short version.

If your question isn't here, put it in the brief and we'll answer it in our reply.

Ready when you are

Put your brand in front of buyers mid-decision.

Two business days from your brief to our proposal. The editor-in-chief reads every inquiry himself - no autoresponders, no junior salesperson.
